adaptABLE Occupational Therapy is a small, privately owned, pediatric occupational therapy clinic located in the military community of Petawawa, ON. Striving to help children aged 0-18 develop the skills they need to succeed at home and at school, sessions are play-based and client-centered.
adaptABLE OT is currently looking to hire a temporary occupational therapist, beginning in April 2020.
Qualifications, Experience & Requirements:

Graduate of an accredited Canadian Occupational Therapy Program, with successful completion of the CAOT examination

Registration and in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario

Knowledge of the following practice areas:
-
Sensory integration and motor development, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Primitive Reflex Integration, Trauma, ADHD, Infant development, Feeding & Picky eating, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Developmental Delays

Access to a vehicle required for community visits

Experience working with military families an asset, but not required

Responsibilities:

Work with the family unit (and school teams when appropriate) to identify OT goals and develop an individualized treatment plan

Provide education to families regarding the biological basis for their child’s functional difficulties and maximize function in all settings

Provide written reports based on assessment findings in the clinic, at home and at school

Opportunities for community presentations may arise

Hours:
Flexible work hours are available, with the option to complete written work from a home office.
